Also, I think you're pushing the "limits" of colored pencil and its perception as being a "lesser" medium compared to the "classic" oil, etc.etc... I took a colored pencil class years ago and it was wonderful. I feel very inspired by your work.Courtney - Maui Jungalowhttp://www.mauijungalow.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2245060782659121423.post-58198702343635701372013-06-11T21:47:34.708-06:002013-06-11T21:47:34.708-06:00The Canadian Goose is particularly striking to me....The Canadian Goose is particularly striking to me. Photo-realism isn't necessary, but when an artist can get that close to life and then deviate, such as in using more solid colors here, it's very pleasant to my eyes.John Wiswellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07416044628686736927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2245060782659121423.post-71112930227956612512013-06-11T08:48:00.066-06:002013-06-11T08:48:00.066-06:00Beyond beautiful. I love listening to birds, but don't typically know which ones I'm listening to. I do like to watch them. In our neck of the woods, we see lots of cute little Gold Finches, Pretty Brightly colored Cardinals, and squawky Blue Jays.
